Termination of WIRED PALs
After 4pm on the 23rd September 2024 WIRED PALs will cease taking new referrals as the service is ending on the 30th September 2024.
After 4pm on the 23rd September 2024 anyone requiring PALs support will need to contact NHS Cheshire and Merseyside PALs by telephoning 0800 132 996, emailing enquiries@cheshireandmerseyside.nhs.uk or writing to Patient Experience Team, NHS Cheshire and Merseyside, No 1 Lakeside, 920 Centre Park Square, Warrington, WA1 1Q.
The PALS team provides a confidential service, helping you sort out any concerns you may have about the service you are receiving, and guiding you through the different services available from the NHS. PALS is provided to Wirral CCG by Wired, a charity provider under contract. All Wired staff are governed by the same standards of patient confidentiality as NHS employed staff and all records are held securely according to the Data Commissioner registration standards.
WIRED’s Patient Advice and Liaison Officers can:
- Meet with you face to face to discuss your case (by prior appointment)
- Help sort out problems quickly on your behalf
- Listen to your concerns, ideas or queries
- Advise and support you with your concern
- Provide information on NHS services
- Pass on compliments about services
When you bring your concerns to us we will explain how PALS works…
- We will do our best to make sure you get the help you need
- We will ask your permission before we do anything on your behalf
- We will keep your information confidential unless there are exceptional reasons, for example to protect children, yourself or another person
