WIRED has a range of volunteering opportunities currently available for people who are looking for an opportunity to meet new people or develop new skills. All of WIRED’s volunteering opportunities can be arranged flexibly with people who are looking to volunteer.

As part of our safer recruitment process for volunteers WIRED obtain two references and undertake DBS checks (as appropriate for each role).

Volunteer Shop Mobility Customer Service Assistant Birkenhead – Meeting and greeting customers and supporting the day to day running of the service

Volunteer Shop Mobility Scooter Technician/Engineer Birkenhead – Undertaking general maintenance of scooters and wheel chairs

Volunteer Shop Mobility Customer Service Assistant Liscard – Meeting and greeting customers and supporting the day to day running of the service

Volunteer Shop Mobility Scooter Technician/Engineer Liscard – Undertaking general maintenance of scooters and wheel chairs

Volunteer Carers Administration Assistant Wirral – Supporting the Carers Health and Wellbeing Team with photocopying, scanning, answering the telephone and general admin

Volunteer Carers Drop In Session Assistant – Supporting with carers drop-in sessions, helping to set up the room and welcoming carers attending the sessions

Volunteer Placement Counsellor – suitable for trainee counsellors or qualified counsellors
