Public Statement from, David Maguire, Chief Executive of WIRED. 27th March 2020

I am pleased to be able to confirm that although we have suspended face to face meetings and scooter hire service the majority of our services remain fully operational and our staff and volunteers are available via telephone, email, and video call to continue to support you as always. However, this week, in response to the Coronavirus pandemic, WIRED has migrated the whole organisation to home working arrangements which means that until further notice WIRED’s offices in Birkenhead, Liscard, New Brighton, Liverpool and Warrington will be closed. Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers will continue to be available through our existing telephone and email helplines information, advice and support channels as usual. Please don’t hesitate to call or email us, even if it’s just for some reassurance or information about local services, we are happy to help. We have over 10,000 people registered with us for support and we will continue to do our very best during this period of change.

Who we are and what we do

Inclusive Access Training is a City and Guilds accredited training provider that provides a wide range of high quality advocacy training courses and advocacy qualifications. Inclusive Access has been established for over 10 years and is the Social Enterprise subsidiary WIRED. In addition to advocacy training and qualifications Inclusive Access also provides a range of other services to support and empower social and private businesses to develop and grow their services

Our services

Inclusive Access can provide the following training and qualifications:

  • Mental Health Act awareness training - for professionals and volunteers
  • Mental Capacity Act awareness training – for professionals and volunteers
  • Carer Awareness Training – Helping professionals and volunteers to identify and support staff or service users who may be a Carer
  • Personal Assistant training – Tailored packages of training for cohorts of personal assistants
  • Vocational E Learning Courses - For individuals, small business & charities; Health & Safety, First Aid, Data Protection, Equality & Diversity and much more
  • Advocacy training, IMCA, IMHA, DoLS, Care Act (1 and 2 day practitioner courses) - 2 day training courses aimed at practicing advocates/trainee advocate
  • Relevant Persons Representative training - Our RPR training course is for individuals taking up the role of relevant persons representative
  • Advocacy Qualifications Level 2 - For learners who are not practicing advocated but are interested in acquiring knowledge about the role of an Independent Advocate
  • Advocacy Qualifications (IAQ Generic and Specialist) Level 3 - For practicing advocates expanding their knowledge or progress into a specialist area of advocacy
  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training - For people who work, or want to work as teachers/trainers in the further education and skills sector
  • Level 3 award in assessing competence (TAQA) - The qualification is for people working in or looking to enter roles in assessment
  • Social Enterprise/Charity/Voluntary group business planning and strategy – Support for social enterprises, charities and community groups to explore and develop services, secure funding and measure impact
